Canadian Coalition for Farm Animals Launches National Television Advertising Campaign

Canadian Coalition for Farm Animals (CCFA), a not-for-profit organization dedicated to promoting the welfare of animals raised for food in Canada, has kicked off the fall season with a Canada-wide, news-focused television advertising campaign.  The campaign aims to heighten awareness among consumers who purchase poultry for food, by drawing attention to the horrific plight of food-grade chickens and the mistreatment they suffer in large-scale factory farms.

The television campaign began Monday, September 21st and runs through to Sunday, October 25th, 2015, with 52 occasions airing on CBC News Network and CTV News Channel.  The commercial creative will air in prominent properties such as “CBC News Now” and “CTV National News”.

The 30-second creative produced for the campaign features undercover footage of crowded, sickly chickens in factory-farms, and encourages viewers to visit www.helpthechickens.ca, which provides information and steps that consumers can take to make a difference in the lives of chickens raised for meat and eggs.
